Fall Fever

Even though it's still pretty warm here in Houston I'm aching for Fall. So today my friend and I got together and we made fall themed crafty things.

First I saw a picture of a candle where someone put acorns in a mason jar and then put a candle in with it. So I gathered some mini acorns from in front of my apartment, a couple mason jars, a hanger and wire clippers. We then made a ware swing-type apparatus to hold the candle.

I learned that it takes a lot of strength to cut a hanger.

Then we used this idea http://www.vanessachristenson.com/2010/09/how-to-wax-paper-and-crayon-fall-leaves.html to melt crayon wax in between wax paper with an iron and make fall leaves!

And voila...it's much more like Fall around here!

Hmmmm it makes me miss Kansas!
